Culture
It is in the realm of culture where Iranians most optimally express their collective soul. From the architectural splendor of Achaemenian Persepolis through the Persian Renaissance of the Safavid Dynasty (1502-1736) and its architectural wonders of Isfahan down to the spectacular postmodern urban architecture of post-revolutionary Tehran one can experience a vibrant culture illustrating the genius of the Iranian mind. Persian carpets are world renowned for their beauty. Iranian art and literature is full of powerful figures such as Ferdowsi, Rumi, Hafez, Sa'adi and Khayyam let alone the contemporary Iranian writers and filmmakers such as Makhmalbaf and Kiarostami. On our tours of Iran we make a special effort to being the traveler into the rich world of Iranian culture by visiting archaeological and historical sites, museums, art galleries with a special focus on the splendor of the Persian Architectural Renaissance of Isfahan of Shah Abbas (1587-1629). Persian classical music is an art form that expresses the mysticism underlining Iranian culture. Listening to the voice of Mohammad Reza Shajarian with a cup of Iranian tea in a Persian garden is certain to evoke the power of Iranian culture.
